Pool and Beach Favorite

Jun 30, 2011 | By
Now that we're right in the middle of a heatwave summer, it's time to embrace all things wet and cold. That means lots of pool time, beach getaways and sprinkler parties in the backyard.

When it's time to dry off for lunch or a little downtime, don't throw your itty bitty's just any old towel. Get them a beach towel of their own. We all have them, so why not let them have their own too!

Fish, octopus, and footballs are perfect for your little boys.

Floral cross and cupcakes are ideal for your sweet little girls!

The perfectly appliqued images are ideally suited for your little girl or boy, and the smaller size is just what your tots need.

Let us sweeten the deal...they are on sale! As of June 30th they are 40% off until supplies last! Come stock up before your Fourth of July getaway.

Keep it Clean

Apr 22, 2011 | By
Toys. They're on the floor, in little mouths, and dare we say...dropped in the toilet. How do you make sure you keep them clean and germ free?! Obviously drastic measures have to be taken if they land in the toilet...but everyday germs from everyday places can still get your kiddos sick.

Here's a couple tricks for keeping your toys clean and kids healthy:

1.Plastic Toys

Unless you notice toys are visibly dirty, you should only have to scrub your kids toys about once a month. Pop durable, plastic toys into the dishwasher on the top rack and run them through a cycle (with detergent) to disinfect and clean. Some toys list that they are dishwasher safe. If they don't, use your best judgment. When in doubt hand wash with dish soap and hot water.

After a play date or a run in with a cold or flu is also a great time to clean toys, toy boxes and crib rails. Simply wipe down any items too large for the sink or dishwasher with a bleach/water solution or with a non-aerosol spray such as Lysol.

2. Plush Toys

If your child has allergies, dust mites are bound to be a huge problem. Plush toys (most commonly known as stuffed animals!) are the perfect home for dust mites. To kill them off simply place any plush toys in a plastic covering (bag) and deep freeze them for 3-5 hours. A once a week freezing should help eliminate dust mite allergies in your little ones...or at least leave them more comfortable!

3. Bath Toys

Try to avoid toys with holes in them. Yes, you can squeeze out the water but they will never dry completely and that makes them an ideal place for mold growth. Eww! Every few weeks give toys a good scrub with dish soap and water, but most importantly make sure toys have a chance to dry inbetween uses. The Tubby bath toy organizer is perfect for that!

Made from neoprene, Tubby (pictured) is designed to dry quick and let water drain out, thus preventing mold and mildew! The durable mesh sides and bottom allow any extra water drain from the toys and back into the tub. After a few weeks or so take Tubby off the wall and toss him into the washing machine, just to give him the cleaning he deserves after working so hard for your toys!

Keeping your kids clean and germ free are tough enough. Thank goodness for great products to help us out!

MD Moms

Mar 19, 2011 | By
Times are changing for the changing table. At least that what pediatrician moms Diane and JJ believe. And if you're sick of sneezing over baby powder, fighting with the diaper cream container, and oh yeah, packing a gazillion products in your diaper bag so that you're covered no matter what...then you believe it too.

After years of hearing the same skin-care complaints in their pediatric offices and years of raising little one's themselves, Diane and JJ finally put an end to lack luster infant skin care products- or at least offered up a better solution!

MD Moms combines a pediatrician's knowledge with a mother's instinct and wisdom to create a line of skin care products idea for baby's delicate skin.

MD Moms boasts...
  • Gentle, yet highly effective ingredients
  • Pure, natural ingredients
  • Hypoallergenic formula
  • Concentrated formulas- small does, big results
  • Protection from environmental damage
  • "Double-Duty" products
  • Easy, one-handed use
  • Modern aesthetics and design
  • Easily travels everywhere you do!

The cleansing towelettes keep baby clean from cheeks to cheeks! The alcohol-free blend of marine silk, vitamins E and B5, organic aloe and comfrey provides moisturizing and antioxidant benefits for you little ones. The ginger and chamomile in each wipe soothe and calm even the most irritated skin.

The gift set makes the perfect shower gift. The Moisturizing Balm, Soothing Bottom Relief and the Delicate Skin Comfort are the three basic products that will get you through almost anything!

The mixture of natural ingredients in the moisturizing balm are good enough to eat! The quick-absorbing, lightweight formula is ideal for maintaining the skin's natural moisture barrier. Shea butter, aloe, oat, avocado oil and other luxurious ingredients combine to make a lotion you will love using yourself. Don't worry, we won't tell!

Delicate Skin Comfort- Finally, a talc-free baby powder that will not have you sneezing and leaving a mess each time you use it! The liquid formula goes on like a lotion, but then quickly transforms into a silky dry powder to keep even the littlest of crevices dry and cool.

Diaper rash. Every baby gets it, nobody likes it. The Soothing Bottom Relief- a lightweight lotion that smooths on white then turns clear to protect, soothe, heal and moisturize little baby bottoms- will clear up even the worst case. No more diaper rash. Sound good? We thought so!

Kiss cradle cap goodbye! MD Moms Gentle Scalp Rub helps brush away flakes and scales that are associated with cradle cap. It's mild enough for everyday use to leave baby's scalp and hair clean, moisturized and soft.

As the summer sun starts to show it's face don't forget to protect both you and your baby. Skip the messy lotions that make for teary eyes and sticky skin. Instead give MD Moms Babysafe Sunscreen Towelettes a chance. You won't be disappointed! Don't worry about getting the right amount either- each towelette has enough sunscreen to cover the average 2 year old from head-to-toe.

Pop into Itty Bitty Bella to try all of the MD Moms products. Don't forget to stock the diaper bag and the nursery!

Bathtime Favorites

Feb 18, 2011 | By
It's been so fun watching all of the boxes unload off the trucks, pile up in the back room and then get opened and unwrapped like a long awaited Christmas gift.

As each new product line comes in the Itty Bitty Bella Girls can't help but ooh and aah over each piece- they're all so little, outrageously adorable and perfect for all the itty-bitties in your life.

One product in particular we can't get enough of are the hooded bath towels. Each hood features a different animal in a different color. No more trying to decide who used which towel at the end of the day!

Choose from animals hoods that your child adores, and that compliment your bathroom decor.

Small details, such as the Hippo's teeth and coordinating fabrics, and quality craftsmanship will make our hooded towels your favorite go-to bathtime accessory.

The soft, un-dyed 100% natural terry cotton on the inside of the towel is absorbent and comfy- exactly what you need after bathtime. The 100% organic cotton knit exterior is saturated in bold and playful colors to coordinate with the animal hood that is expertly stitched and appliqued.

The 29" square towels are generously sized to keep your itty-bitty warm, cozy and dry from infant to 3 years old.

A variety of animals are available for purchase, so no matter what phase your child is in there will be a design to suite his or her curiosity and creativity!

We can't wait to see what other fun things come out of the loads and loads of boxes we've got piled in the back room right now, and you can be sure we'll let you know what's in store too! But for now, get outside and enjoy the warm, spring-like weather we're experiencing in the Mid-South!
